Above is my oscillating spring program, which simulates a mass connected to a ceiling by a spring, and it maps the simple harmonic motion exhibited by the mass attached to the spring when the mass is moved to different starting points. It uses the principles we learned in Physics about harmonic motion to constantly calculate how the different physical properties of the mass at the bottom of the spring change as time passes. Depending on where the mass is pulled to, or how the spring stretches, the forces applied to the mass change, causing the mass to react differently, so it is cool to try and simulate how to mass will move in different situations.
